Hi all, To make things short Jeffrey’s been taking off Everolimus/Imatinib after it keeping things stable for a little over a year. Which seemed to be the only thing that’s done anything so far. He is now on votrient and blood pressure medicine. His tumor in his arm grew more than double the size in the past few weeks. He developed an infection in the arm and is now on an antibiotic. Could it be possible the infection caused the arm to get this big and not the tumor? He can no longer use his arm. He literally lifts it with his other arm.
An infection can cause lymph nodes to enlarge.
Hi Laura, I would say an infection could very well cause the swelling in Jeffreys arm. I hope the votrient does wonders for him.
