I stumbled across an article that was mentioning Jason Noble, a 39 year old musician from Louisville KY who was diagnosed with synovial sarcoma 15 months ago. I found his page on CaringBridge.org. His case is quite interesting. He had a lung tumor removed which was thought to be lung cancer at first but then was diagnosed as synovial sarcoma. They found afterward that it was not the primary site as he had tumors in his hip and shoulder as well. He is on a clinical trial, which I figured is the one mentioned here (still open):
