Drug Trials

How many different chemos can one try before the doctor says no more? I am on the 5th kind of chemo and its an oral pill that has been tested in drug trials. Votrient/pazopanib. The second tumor removed last July was tested with several chemos that proved they didn't work on the sarcoma so they tried 3 more, one kind was Gemcitobine and I had horrible reaction to it. I am on the oral pill indefinitely and would love to be free of all of it. One silly side effect is turning my hair all white. I am not old enough to have white hair!

I feel like my grandma with all the pill bottles next to my bed and spend my day planning when to take them all. blood sugar, blood pressure, lexapro, chemo pill, etc. ugh.

on the up side i am glad no infusions to go to, just pop a pill 3 times a day.

at least i have my adult gummy vitamins to look forward to...ha!

Nowadays, new types of chemo keep coming out, targeting different pathways. Try to stay positive :-) Hopefully votrient works long enough for better opportunities and may be a cure to have time to emerge!
