I would like to ask, has anyone tried Paclitaxel (Taxol) chemo to fight with SS?
My mother is out of chemo options and got one suggestion to try Taxol...
There was a trial in 1997 which found the drug inactive for soft tissue sarcoma. There was only one patient with synovial sarcoma though:
This is Rob. Please explain “your mom is out of chemo options” then you ask about Taxol (paclitaxel). Taxol (any form of paclitaxel is considered chemo. Given the rarity of the disease there is not a great deal of data. The side effects are dose cumulative. The dose limiting side effects are myolosuppression and neuropathy. Have you considered clinical trials or alternative therapy? Some of the latter may be beneficial. Vitamin C given IV is being tested in clinical trials.

My mohther was treated with 6 cycles of Ifo-Doxo (2012), Pazopanibum (2012-2013), high-dose Ifosfamidum (2013), DTIC+Gemcitabine (2013).
Its why there are no more optionsm because trabectedin is not reimburst...;/
I will have checked Vitamin C trial, but i found it only in USA, right? I couldnt find it in europe ;(
What other alternative treatment you thing about?
