Help needed to Fund International Collaborative Research On Synovial Sarcoma

Does anybody have expertise in fundraising or has any of you ever organized a fundraising event?

The Liddy Shriver Sarcoma Initiative regularly awards grants for sarcoma research and recently awarded a few International Collaborative Grants for research on bone metastasis as well as liposarcoma (see below). They are thinking of awarding a similar grant for an international collaborative study on synovial sarcoma and they are looking for partners to share the cost. The grant amount would be $250,000 over 2 years. They raised half of this amount so far. They need help to raise the other half. Would anybody like to pitch in?

Here is more information on the International Collaborative Grants previously awarded:

· A "Bedside to Bench" Investigational Platform for the Study of Myxoid Liposarcoma:

The idea is that progress into finding better treatments and potential cures for sarcoma can be accelerated by dedicated teams of researchers and clinicians working together and sharing resources. Indeed “Fragmented” efforts by individual researchers around the world, combined with limited funding for research on rare cancers, can lead to frustratingly slow progress :-(

Many studies get published on sarcoma but how do you assemble the many pieces of the puzzle if not by giving incentives to researchers around the world to communicate better?
