Home

Gary and I are home. We left the hospice on Thursday and the Autumn weather has so far been spectacular. We originally came home for two nights leave from the hospice and Gary in true Gary style did a complete turnaround and said .'Im not going back" We have an open door option there which is why he feels comfortable to do this. If we had to go back through the emergency room as in last time he wouldn't have left. I will be eternally grateful and appreciative of the Hospice care as they all looked after both of us and we wouldn't even have been able to contemplate being at home otherwise.

After 10 weeks there Im am so pleased to be in my home and kitchen.I have been a bit Manic so far getting sorted and evicting spiders that had decided to move in.But am starting to slow.Gary has discovered he can uses the kettle again(:-) ) and has made me a few cups of tea.An act of love in our house.

We have no idea how long this oasis will last and are mindfully living each day. Gary is mindfully watching sports tv and eating chocolate and I am mindfully making art and gardening in amongst housework and cooking. Grateful grateful for more unexpected time.

we are at home with an O2 concentrator and spare bottles for car trips, but other than meds (which are now simpler than before) its not too complicated. The one thing I shall have to start doing is asking for help when I need it.Gary is great at asking for help but not me.I tend to be a Donkey and just do it. But the expression it takes a Village passed by me three time yesterday and that is a sure sign for me to listen.

I shall keep updating on my blog and keep and eye here. Gaz is still with each and everyone of you he has had contact with.

It's great to hear you were able to come back home. There's no place like home...

beautiful post. thanks for keeping us up to date.

Pleased to be able to update. Completely unexpected turnaround and I think its good to hear that it happens and is possible. :-)
