With synovial sarcoma, the lungs are the most common site for metastases. Other sites are rather rare but we've had members with liver, brain and bone metastases among others.
Looks like my case. I finished my fifth cycle of chemo today. My doctor will start planning for the surgery before cycle 6.
I’m having dizzeness and my blood hb is 9.6. How can I solve this problem? I’m taking multivitamins and iron supplements from the hospital. Besides Im eating well but still the hb is going down. They will check my heart function for 24 hours, do a blood study, a stool test and a brain, chest , abdomen and pelvis CT scan. Do you have any other suggestions ?
It's normal that your hemoglobin is going down with chemo. Chemo kills fast dividing cells, including blood cells.You need a blood transfusion, not vitamins and iron supplements... I assume your doctor is waiting for your hemoglobin to fall below a specific threshold? If I remember correctly, my oncologist use to give me blood transfusions once my hemoglobin was below 10...
