My brother has SS, the tumor was on the left foot (smaller than 5 cm).
the tumor was cut with margins, now his foot is clean. All organs are clear, too. In hospital made many “medical examination”, every results are good, clean lungs liver kidneys bones lymph nodes…
But doctors are planing to do the chemo… they want to make the central line…
Is there anyone who have the same situation?

A tumor smaller than 5cm removed with clear margins is usually associated with a good prognostic. You may want to get a second opinion from another specialist regarding chemo. The other thing they look at to decide whether to recommend chemo is the pathology report. For example, if the cells are poorly differentiated, it’s usually not a good sign.
Also, the following article suggests that there is a correlation between metastases and chromosome complexity and CINSARC and Genomic Index can be used as prognostic factors:

I don’t think CINSARC and Genomic Index are commonly used in practice. I’ve never heard patients mention it. It could be something to discuss with your brother’s oncologist.
It’d be a good idea to get a copy of the pathology report.
It’s probably counterproductive to use chemo if the only mutation in the tumor cells is the translocation t(X;18)…
