SS leads to science fair project

Will had just competed in Trampoline and Tumbling Nationals when diagnosed. The cancer was in his back (erector spinae muscle) and he had a wide resection and skin graft. Although he was told he may never walk normally again or compete in gymnastics, he can still tumble with no limitations. He competed in the regional science fair with research about how he can possibly tumble with a portion of his erector spinae missing. He won Best of Fair and was awarded a free trip to the International Science Fair in Phoenix in May.

The reason I am posting this is because Will plans to go to med school and has a real heart for understanding and curing this cancer. I am not sure where his research will lead, but he is already coming up with summer research plans. We would love to have input from others with synovial sarcoma as he pinpoints his research. We will post agin when he determines what he needs. The posts we continue to read are such motivation! Thank you!

Great job Will!

So great, thanks for sharing!
