Virus attacks childhood cancers

Hi everyone,

My cousin sent me this link about Yale University found that if they inject a strain of a rabies virus, it has killed most all sarcomas. Click on this link and read. I'm not sure where this is in research, or even where this is going, but I find it very hopeful. For Synovial Sarcoma originally did not respond, but they did something to 'pretreat' the sarcoma that allowed the virus to work on synovial sarcomas also.

Note that this is not in human trials yet and the study used only one particular synovial sarcoma cell line that may not be representative of the whole synovial sarcoma population. And since this is not the work of a pharmaceutical company, who knows how long it will take to go to human trials if ever... Still, it is always exciting to see that our disease is being studied :-)

I thought the same thing. We may never see any personal results from this finding in the lab, but it is exciting that there is new research being done, especially on rare cancers.
