I'm so confused

I went for a second opinion at City of Hope hospital in Duarte, CA. They were less than hopefull. The doctor told me that I'm not curable because of the tumors in my lungs. My recent chest CT showed that there are a few more tumors growing and some enflamed lymph nodes. He said surgery is most likely not an option because there are more than 5 tumors.. I don't know what to do at this point. I'm looking into a clinical trial at UCLA in California. But, I'm not even sure I'm eligible. Any advice?

It's a scary thing to have everyone medically not believe in you. I just need some hope. I'm 22. I want to live.

Have you thought about MD Anderson?

Have you ever visited Dr Chawla, in Santa Monica? He runs many of the sarcoma trials...

Here for information about him:

Try Dr. Chawla in Santa Monica, he does a lot with sarcoma's. My friends hubby just had 8 taken out of his lungs. I hope you find someone and praying for you.

((HUGS))

I have 11 tumors in both lungs and I know sometimes it is hard to stay positive. Get a 3rd and 4th opinion if need be. You should never give up.Try to stay strong.

I understand what you are going through. As hard as it can be, try to focus. Chemo is going to be your option. Clinics offer different grades of chemo. Before choosing my treatment, my family and I did extensive, but extremely fast research. I visited several clinics in a matter of days. Regarding Chemo, I did find MD Anderson Houston to be the most aggressive chemo treatment of all the clinics I researched. You may want to send them your file and evaluate.

Find strength in faith! God has saved a lot of us.

Have you looked into Dr Rolle In Germany? My first scan said I had 10+ in each lung after all the chemo I was told I only had 7…I went to Germany to have surgery because I didn’t want to be on chemotherapy for life and he removed 51 total! I I also went to MD Anderson and was told I was inoperable and basically terminal. The best option is surgery and the best Dr is Rolle. Chances are that you have more than 7 (CT can not pick up on tiny ones) and he will get them for you. He does not accept all patients but there is a chance he can help you!

You can also talk to Dr Chawla,He's a chemo doctor and I believe he does a lot clinical trials as well. He specializes

in treating sarcomas. 310-■■■■■■■■ Santa Monica California. Also look into fighting cancer with diet change.I know of

a great herbalist. Your in my thoughts.

Try Dr. Sant Chawla. He has a wonderful bedside manner and caring. I’m sure he can come up with something for you. He’s very aggressive. Sarcoma Oncology Center 310 552 9999. He saved my life 9 years ago when I encountered a similar situation. Tell him Gina referred you.

Hi, in the UK they would look at chemo to shrink the tumours and then surgery to remove, probably to then be followed by radiotherapy. If they have just spread to your lungs (and by that i mean and nowhere else) I am sure treatment is possible. University College Hospital London (UCH) Euston Rd, London is one of the best centres. Dr Anna Cassoni or Professor Tim Briggs (Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital) are top Sarcoma specialists. RNOH and UCH form The London Sarcoma Service. Ask yours to contact them. Wishing you strength and sending love and support, Louise x

THANK YOU EVERYONE. I have just scheduled an appointment with Dr. Chawla for this Tuesday for a consultation. I'm hoping he can help! I've heard so many good things from you guys and others.. If that doesn't work I'll seek out of state and out of country. Again.. I can't thank you guys enough.

I’m trying to find out if Dr. Rolle is still practicing. The Internet hasn’t been very helpful. Does anyone have current contact information for him or know of anyone else that does the laser surgery protocol he was using?

Dr. Rolle retired. Dr. Drewes is replacing him. His e-mail is ■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■
