Thank goodness for this site. My daughter was recently diagnosed. Two weeks ago. There is so little information right now we are just waiting. Luckily she is close to a sarcoma center in Portland. On a bad note I am about 6000 miles away. Right now we are waiting for more results to make better decisions and hear about treatment options. She has had the tumor removed. We are waiting to see how things progress from here.
Sorry to hear about your daughter, the good news is that she's had the tumor removed. How old is she, and where was the tumor?
Thank you. She is 19 and it was located on her foot. Removed only after it started to effect her shoes and walking. All previous Dr's thought it was nothing to worry about.

From what I hear, unfortunately that's common. My tumors are in my lungs. I'm hoping a sarcoma specialist removed the tumor? Lots of great support on this site, I'm relatively new to the world of cancer and sarcoma being diagnosed july 23 of this year, and have found answers here that you just can't "Google".
Prayers for you and your daughter. I am 19 years cancer free. Synovial sarcoma in my neck. Be your daughters advocate . Research everything then make informed choices. There are many people like myself who live for years...
So glad you found this site. Thinking of you & your daughter and sending positive thoughts to you both - there is so much info here please share what she is told and stay connected. Learn all you can and ask questions about everything. Did they know it was ss before surgery?
