My husband has stage 4 and given 12 to 24 months. We r nearing the 12 month and are on the last standard care. We go today where he is going to tell the doctor he does not want to continue treatment. My question is how long can someone survive with no treatment?
Hi Danswife. I strongly believe that no one can predict ones prognosis or survival. Reading a lot in google will only put one down as the best stories are not mostly shared online. We only see the most complicated stories and experiences online. However i believe we have to do everything we need to do to take care of our health by doing the right treatments, i would recommend going as per what the doctor says and getting a second or third opinion is always better. Never give up and keep fighting.
Something i believe strongly and that keeps me going is that “God gives his toughest battles to his strongest soldiers” and the plan will always be for our best. Keep going strong, again never give up and enjoy and be thankful. I can clearly imagine the situation when being told you only have 12-24 months to live, but those are just assumptions. Tell your doctor that you both would see him after 5 years together to celebrate the 5 year survival and then later on for 10 and then 25 years
Be strong and stay positive and keep your prayers high. Miracles definitely happens. My wishes and prayers for a very long happy life to both of you. Cheers.
Fully agree with what Supergirl speaks.
Nothing is impossible with God.
My prayers for yourselves and your hubby
Its impossible to say, but do consider Hospice services. They can be a great support and improve quality of life for whatever time remains
